This website is a home for the research and thoughts of Sibilia dell’Acqua*, a member of the Society of Creative Anachronism. It is eternally a work in progress. Please reach out with any questions by emailing graeae @ gmail.com. I’d appreciate credit for anything you use.
This blog has been created to organize my research on gilding and scribal arts with the eventual goal of creating A&S projects on these themes. This research is ongoing and will evolve over time. It is also likely to be a blog about the process of doing this research and trying to create. Not all projects will be successful. Not all projects will get finished. It’s the trying and the learning that is important to me.
I am also currently diving into learning more about Ancient Egypt in order to have not only an understanding of Egyptian art and the methods used to produce it, but also better knowledge of the peoples and cultures that made that art possible.
I reserve the right for the content on this blog to evolve over time as I, too, evolve.
My An Tir wiki page can be found here.
* Sibil also works. I’m currently in the process of developing a second persona to reflect my interest in Ancient Egypt and early scribal arts. If this name passes through the College of Heralds, that persona name will be Neferure sa Sobekmose.
